Purpose

Strategic Leadership & Systems Transformation

To develop excellence in strategic health leadership, foresight, and multistakeholder coordination for board-level advisors—empowering them to shape future-ready healthcare systems through innovation, collaboration, and systems-level governance across sectors, regions, and disciplines.

Curriculum Structure

Module 1: Strategic Advisory Excellence in Health Ecosystems

Outcome: Establish clarity and strategic confidence in advisory roles within complex health ecosystems.

Module 2: Scenario Planning & Systems Thinking

  • Health as a complex adaptive system

  • Futures thinking, foresight tools, and scenario mapping

  • Crisis navigation and strategic resilience

  • Building transformation pathways in uncertainty

Outcome: Equip advisors to navigate complexity, uncertainty, and opportunity in global health.

Module 3: Value-Based Health Strategy & System Redesign

  • Fundamentals of value-based care and population health

  • Co-creation with patients and communities

  • Advisory roles in outcome-driven innovation

  • System incentives, metrics, and financing

Outcome: Advise on high-impact, outcome-oriented strategy design and implementation.

Module 4: Digital Health Ecosystems & Data Governance

  • Ecosystem mapping: platforms, stakeholders, data flows

  • Digital transformation, interoperability, and scalability

  • AI, real-world evidence, and platform-based strategy

  • Governance of digital trust, ethics, and security

Outcome: Support ecosystemic thinking and strategic use of health data in digital transformation.

Module 5: Global Health Transformation & Public-Private Leadership

  • Global health trends and multilateral policy environments

  • Strategic roles of public-private partnerships

  • Philanthropy, social entrepreneurship, and global alliances

  • Transformation labs: WHO, EU4Health, G7/G20 health priorities

Outcome: Enable strategic advisors to operate across national boundaries and lead global change agendas.

Future-Oriented Strategic Labs

Lab A: Lifecare Strategies – From Sickcare to a Healthspan Economy

  • Prevention, longevity, and value beyond treatment

  • Strategic visioning for healthy lifespan models

  • Economic transitions toward healthspan-oriented systems

  • Alignment of stakeholders around long-term health investment

Outcome: Shape transformational narratives and strategies for healthspan and societal well-being.

Lab B: Strategic Collaboration and Multi-Actor Governance

  • Networked leadership and advisory orchestration

  • Stakeholder mapping and trust-building

  • From alignment to action: cross-sector facilitation

  • Case clinic: regional and global health strategy implementation

Outcome: Advance skills in leading across silos, sectors, and institutional boundaries.

Capstone Project: Strategic Transformation Brief

Each participant develops a strategy advisory paper tailored to a live or simulated case:

  • National health innovation strategy

  • Value-based redesign of a regional system

  • Digital ecosystem governance model

  • Public-private collaboration roadmap

  • Strategic positioning for global health initiatives
